1. INTRODUCTORY RITE

I. For those praying by themselves

Principal Celebrant (that’s you)
Marking yourself with the sign of the Cross, if that is your custom, say:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Brief pause to center yourself, then, if you like, pray each line of this n-o-a prayer slowly

I am come into the presence of the Lord,
The gaze of my heart into the Lord’s holy place;
Wings of angels and touch of saints:
enfold me in the praise which spills from heaven;
May that praise throughout the world
enliven the body of my sisters and brothers
with whom I pray this Eucharist today.

II. When two or more of you are praying this together:

Principal Celebrant (chosen from among yourselves, preferably the least important among you – don’t fight – in any case you can share this role among you, during different sections of the prayer):

Marking yourself with the sign of the Cross, if that is your custom, say:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Brief pause

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
be with you all.

Co-celebrants:

And also with you.

(if y’all prefer to say “And with your Spirit”, why not?  – question of taste, not of theology)
